Help with playing .tar movie

Ok, I'm new to WinRar and tar files, and have no clue about them. I downloaded a movie in .tar archive format. When I double click it, it opens up into many parts a.rar, a.r00, a.r01.....a.r29. When I then click say a.rar, its says missing a.r00.

Anyone familiar with tar files please help. Thanks.

you need to open the first rar.
in this case it is a.rar.

I clicked on the a.rar, and it extracted the files into a single .avi file. But the problem is how do I cut and paste the .avi file into another folder. The winrar proram has no option to copy, cut , etc and no 'open with this program' option.

Any help?

you extract the rars from the tar file first?
right click on the tar file,then extract here.
do the same thing for the a.rar.
the avi will will be in the same folder with the tar and rar files.

this is a bunch of smaller win rar files. when you extract a certain numbered set, it will extarct all of those file when you just extact the first one.

use cut and paste to move your avi file.
