Help needed editing a song

Im trying to transfer a song over to my cell phone to use as my ringtone, but the problem is that this song has a long intro. Basically, i need to cut the intro out of the song. Is there a trick to do this in windows media player? or is there a type of program that i can download to do this? Thanks in advance.

Don't know how to do it with WMP, however Audacity is a very easy to use and free application that will do just that and probably more.

Just google: Audacity

I have used it so far to combine two songs, and cut a long intro to one song. Just make sure that you save the edited File in MP3 format, or whatever format you require.
