Help- can't display video

I'm using realone, when I open an avi file, it can only display the video, though the audio is okay. A dialogue is: The video of this file cannot be displayed. Would you like to check to see if there is an update available for this video?

I clicked yes. But there's no update available.

What should I do?

dont use realone... its terrible. Try another player such as WMP... if that doesn't work then check video drivers, codecs and make sure DirectX is up to date

chances are its the codecs....

Out of curiosity, why realone is terrible? It's famous.
