help with burning DVD's.......

i have windows XP, i am trying to make a copy of a movie that someone burned from an original copy, i use a program Roxio, when put the movie in, click copy, it will actually copy the movie, it takes like 10 minutes or so for this, when it is complete, the tray pops open and prompts me to put a blank in, i do, and then like 10 seconds later, the tray opens again and says to insert a blank, i am using the right dvd r discs, it will not transfer to a blank...................i tried multiple blanks, is there a different program you guys/gals use to make copies? thnx

I use Nero.

Maybe you need a dual layer disc.

this app will compress the movie to fit on a 4.7 dvd (dvd-5)

i use dvdSanta. It compresses them and burns them to tv without any quality loss (at least for me). I used to back up all my movies. Combine that with DVD Decrypter and its perfect.
