Headset download usage

My friend and I would like to be able to talk over IM such as Windows Live. I've looked into webcams with built in mics however my believe my download limit of 5gb along with other of my daily downloading tasks would be insufficient. What I would like to know is, how much bandwidth would a headset for just audio communication go through on IM. I am looking at this one in particular:

I don't think what headset you have would alter how much bandwidth you use. But, i would think 5gb is very sufficient.
