I have a new dell laptop with windows vista.
I just have a regular headset. When I plug in the mic jack, vista used to bring up a popup menu that confirmed that it was a mic. I selected what I thought was the "always this option" tic box, so it wouldn't come up anymore.
Well, something must have gone wrong, because now i can't use my mic anymore. The thing doesn't pop up anymore, but I'm not getting anything out of my mic.
Anyone know what might be the problem, or how to turn that menu back on?
