I have a motherboard with dual P3 833 Mhz processors, 1024 MB ECC RAM, and for some reason a Geforce 4 MX 440 doesn't work on it. Everytime I use it, my computer's monitor just freezes after booting up. I have tryed several different Geforce 4 MX440s and they all did the same thing. Does anyone know what the problem is or if there is a graphics accelerator that is compatible with this system?

actually, once it boots up, the monitor just stays at the welcom screen, sometimes, in about half and hour, it opens up my desktop, and et cetera, but then everything responds really slowly.... or crashes, so I couldn;t even check if anything was wrong...

Scorpio, what is the name & model Of Mainboard ?

It's maxtor, I got it for free when they were throwing it out.

Is it definately the graphics card, have you tried other models apart from mx440's?

I would try another video card, voltage or something on card is not correct for mainboard.
