Fullscreen video quality help

Hey everyone

I have a computer attached to a 32" HD 1080i LCD TV. My video card is an ATI Radeon x1900 GT. I use a DVI to HDMI adapter to connect the card to the TV.

Videos in windowed mode look fine but they are fullscreened, you can see the pixels and they don't look great. I don't think there is anything to adjust in Catalyst Control, so I'm thinking of upgrading to a better video card, like a Sapphire HD 3870. Will this upgrade help make full screen look clearer?

not necessarily. my issue was my hdtv sucked at those resolutions when you watched the computer but it excel at tv. getting another hdtv fixed the issue
