Am building first PC - only stumbling block so far is front panel audio. The mobo has 9 pins from top left to bottom right they are

GND | +5VA | BACKOUT-R | FREE | BACKOUT - L
MIC | MIC POWER | AUD OUT-R |GND | AUD OUT_L

The lead from front of case only has 8 and they are

audio R & L in
ausio R & L out
GND * 2
MIC in and Mic power

so it looks like I'm missing the +5VA - can anyone explain this please

audio connectors

ok - it was something like this:

black | space | yellow | space | red
green | orange | purple | black | blue

If this is no help at all then I will investigate further for you. I seem to remember that I got onto the MOBO company and asked them and they gave me a colour diagram Which I can't find), but what I have put above at least explains why there is 8 pins - to find out properly I will have to remove my sound card and read how the colour corresponds to audio, it is written on the connectors, where I can't see at the moment. Let me know.
