error in media player: COOD11D2

I attemted to move a folder , lost it, but got it back via system restore. Unfortunately I can no longer play the contents. The folder , all 9.05 gigs is there, I just cannot access the files. The files display as tiles instead of thumnails, and I cannot change that either. PLEASE HELP

TakeOwnership is a smal mod of the registry that creates a new item in the right click menu for taking control of files when you get the access denied error on non essential files. The free tool works on XP as well as it does on Vista. Add "Take Ownership" to Explorer Right-Click Menu in Vista :: the How-To Geek

Once you have full access like moving them from one folder to another remove the current listing and playlist for them to start fresh with a new playlist. See how this goes for the files there.
