DVD rip question

I know this has been played out, but I have a question none the less...

I have a butt-ton of movies that I want to put to HHD, so that when I go back to sea duty I can watch all the movies I want but take up a fraction of the space. but I run into problems when I try and rip... nothing I use will let me watch them after I rip it.

Is there software/program that will let me rip it, then watch it as a normal movie that I pop into the dvd player? If not, then is there a reasonable work around that I can use, if so, please explain. I have been doing a lot of research into this, but I cannot find a good solution for it. Thanks in advance...

I use PowerDVD, and I am able to watch ripped DVDs.

One thing to look out for is that you are ripping correctly. For DVD ripping, I recommend DVDShrink.

use auto gk to rip. they will turn an dvd movie into a high quality 700mb divx file

download kazaa lite pack to watch them

PowerDVD will play a ripped DVD from your HD just like it was a disc.
