DVD/CD burning for Pioneer DVR-A08

Hello,

I have a Pioneer DVR-A08 DVD/CD burner, came with ULEAD software for DVD/CD work, but I dont like ULEAD, too slow and troublesome.

Are there other free DVD/CD reading/writing software packages I can use instead?

Hello,

These freeware programs work on my other CD burners...but for some reason, this Pioneer DVD writer will only allow the ULead software to work. Is there some type of hardware reconfig I need to do to allow all types of DVD/CD burning software to run on this pioneer DVD writer?
