My DVDs have no audio when they play on Windows Media Player.
I reformatted my computer just a week ago, and realised that i was unable to view dvds without a codec. Made a few searches on google but I was unable to find any free ones.
Then i stumbled upon this :

So i went forward to download WinDVD for the codec. Installed it, then deleted it after seeing that DVDs could now play on windows media player. However, I did not realise that there was no audio with it at that time.
Now i'm stuck with Audioless dvds. Is this a problem with the codec from WinDVD? Or does anyone have a solution for this problem?
Some extra points:
- No, the audio is not muted
- I don't have a driver for my soundcard. I installed the driver (Soundblaster Live) after I reformatted but then there was no sound for everything after that ( mp3s, windows alerts). Then I deleted the drivers and the sound came back. So it was kept that way.
Any help is greatly apprieciated!
