driver for realtek sound chip?

I have an ASUS motherboard with the audio spec Realtek ALC883. I've tried various download drivers from ASUS but none have worked, and Realtek website I can't understand the lingo.

Does anyone know a driver that would work here?

I've tried from ASUS website versions 5.10.0.5324 and 5.10.0.5309 and V6015334 and they all say they can't support this operating system. My op system is xp pro, and the site did state these drivers support xp.

i found a Site try these: Download Realtek ALC883 Audio Driver V5.10.0.5296 Driver for Windows XP - Softpedia plus have you Tryed windows update, or going into Device manager and update driver from there ?

I installed it. I didn't notice they had separate folders for installing on different op systems. I used version 5324 I believe that was the latest version for xp, the earlier version had problems on install.
