DivX Converter?

Once put my dvd through dvdshrink and into .vob files, I want to compress them. I have about 6 files at about 1 GB a piece and was wondering if DivX Converter will compress them into a smaller file size. If not, what are some simple programs I can use to make these files smaller without losing too much video quality?

yeh it compresses dvds and u save a heap of space .. there is a little noticable quality loss (can look a little blurry at times) but its definately worth the space it saves www.divx.com

i use imtoo dvd ripper but for some reason it doesnt copy my whole movie anyone know why this is?
