Differnces in audio spec. 2.0 and 2.1

I Just want to find out what exactly the difference is between the different audio specifications. I have a Logitech X120 Stereo Speakers and they sound awesome. What's the difference between 2.0 and 2.1 speakers? Will I notice a difference? Is there somewhere I can go to learn more about this?

i think 2.1 is a speaker system or setup with a subwofer and 2 speakers, and 2.0 is just 2 speakers

2.1 means 2 speakers and 1 subwoofer, just like 5.1 means 5 speakers and 1 subwoofer. Stuff like 2.0 means that there is no woofer at all. Get a subwoofer, man. Everything sounds better!
