May want to see if the drives are up to date for your on-board sound card.

Also, has this just started happening? - Was it ok previously?

audio drivers are up to date

has been happening since the first time i plugged in the board...

other than that i get no problems its almost crystal clear when im not moving the mouse

People say that :freak:

What difference does it make..

MP3 through very high end sound card remains crap as it allways was
MP3 through very bad onboard sound gets even crapper

Simple.
