Hey guys,
I have some shitty sound blaster card (really old), but it's soon being replaced by a Creative Audigy 2 ZS Platnium and 2.1 Altec Lansing Speakers. Anyway, sometimes when I open a program e.g. Microsoft Word and I have music playing, the music starts to make a crackling beeping noise, but after the program fully opens then itgoes back to normal. I know I might have a shit sound card but it shouldn't being doing this should it? I have especially noticed it since I installed Win xp.

Is this a problem to do with the sound card or speakers? or neither?

Get back to me

Actually sounds like.. perhaps a ram issue (not having enough) or that the program you're using it at a very low priority causing it to slow the processing of the song and wait for the program to load... that's my 2 cents

Yeah I am upgrading my ram in a few days to 512, because it's only at 256 at the moment... But yeah I can see where your coming from. I am just using Windows Media Player 9 for my music, so what priority should I set it at?
