Unless you own the DVD, then there are ways to do it. I'm sure someone will tell you how. I use DVDXCopy from 321, but they are gone now...
linux makes it quite easy, software is free, variety of ways to do it, easiest is using vobcopy and then just burning a new one, or you can always rip into a smaller file in another format like divx
Sorry guy but that is definatly illegal. Now if anyone else or yorself id interested in just backing up there own DVDs all you need to do is get DVD shrink, http://www.dvdshrink.org/where.html
and use this guide make the AUDIO and Video files http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/mpg/dvdshrink31-main.htm
then just use any recording software that can burn to DVD and put those 2 files on there. Took me forever to figure out the very last part since the guides make it sound a lot more dificult than it actually is.
