converting wmv/wma to mpeg format.

I need help converting my wmv vids & wma audio to mpegs... plain .mpg & mp3 (nothing large like mp4).

i've been using windows media player & movie maker a lot lately -- is there a free addon that will let me save them as different formats?

if not, which is the best-multideminsional encoder?

p.s. i don't even know where to download freeware anymore. download.com actually checks your registration info now.

what do u mean by "nothing large like mp4",
mp4 is superior codec, it gives u higher quality than mp3 or wma if they are the same bit rate
