Converting wav files to...

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this. My friend has a cell phone that will only download media. He wants to download a song as a wav file to use as a ringtone. Is there a way to convert it so he can download it on his phone? If I can convert the wav file for him, I can email it to his phone. Thanks in advance. :happy:

What audio files does his phone support? Better yet, what phone does he have?

What audio format are you going to convert the wav file to?

That's the problem. We don't know much about this and all he said was his Samsung only downloads media. I'm not sure what he means. It won't accept mp3, wav, or anything but media...

Yep we need the model of the phone. If you give us the specific phone model we can find out what kind of ringtones it supports and how to get the audio files onto the phone.

Media is not an audio format or file type. Media in this specific context is a generic term meaning any supported media file, i.e: mp3, wma, wav, ogg etc.

most ringtones needs to be in the wav format to add them to most phones

Most newer phones can use MP3. My Razr² can use MP3 as ringtones as well as my bor in laws LG Shine.
