I was getting a error from any yahoo voice chat thing (Your computer does not support the required audio format) and never thought much of it(everything else works fine)
Either way, I found the fix finaly and installed a codec it wanted. Problem is, now that I got yahoo working properly, EVERYTHING ELSE on my computer that uses sound does NOT work(no error, just no sound whatsoever)
I had to finaly roll back the computer to a previous restore point(uninstalling the codec didn't fix it, and reinstalling all the codecs I needed also didn't help)
Quesion I have is how do I get it so that both work(if there's no awnser, yahoo can kiss my a$$ an stay broken)
The codec in question(the one yahoo wants) is suposed to be a default part of win xp(but I didn't have it, even after using the win xp disk - IE: ws not on the winxp disk) is : DSP Group TrueSpeechTM audio compression (CODEC)
Anyone else have this problem and know how to repair/workaround?
