I have a DVD-reader, but that's what WMP says:

Windows Media Player cannot play DVD video. Open Display in Control Panel, and then lower your screen resolution and color quality settings. To view the DVD Troubleshooter, click More Information.

I tried that, but no help...
Any ideas, suggestions?

Could it be that your video card doesn't support dvd playback at high resolution or colors?

Re:

Hello,

Try this...

...In Windows Media Player, go to Tools > Options > Performance Tab > Click the Advanced button in the Video Acceleration section at the bottom > Once the Video Acceleration Settings window appears, make sure the following are unchecked:

- Use high quality mode checkbox in Video Acceleration section.

get a dvd decoder software like power dvd, so wmp can borrow it to play the dvd

I think U need to update your computer with audio and video codecs.

Hope that might help........
