Hi,
I cant hear any sounds from my speakers if i use CD's, listen to music or sounds on web pages. (the only time I can play sounds from them is if i use Windows media player). When I click Accessories / Entertainment /Volume Control I recieve a pop that says:
There are no active mixer devices available. To install mixer device, go to Control Panel, Click printers and other hardware, & then click add hardware. This program will now close.
I've done some research & found out it could be my modem interferring. I went Control Panel / Sounds & Audio Devices / Audio Tab:
Sound playback - default device = modem #0 line playback (no options on drop down list)
Sound recording - default device = modem #0 line record (no options on drop down list)
MIDI music playback - default device = No MIDI playback device ( no options on drop down list - greyed out)
Am I correct that it's the modem causing the problem? Can someone suggest a remedy?
Thank you
