Can I use my AverTV remote control with other software?

Hi,

I've just been given a relatively old averTV card to recieve tv on my (XP pro) PC, and it comes with a nice remote control.

Does anyone know if it's possible to use this remote with other software? There's nothing in the aver preferences that allows this, and I couldn't find anything when I googled apart from one prograp which allows tyou to control winamp, which I don't use....

Maybe it comes with a software you need to install, have you tried it?

it does, but it's only to control their own TV software!
