I had Ubuntu and it worked perfectly but when I installed XP, it didn't work at all. No sound. I don't know what to do.

Don't assume that I need to replace it because I don't..

i went into device manager:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

Nevermind, I used Everest [after hearing about it from another post] and found out I used a SIS sound card. Sound works perfectly.
