Still trying to find a good use for my PC speakers, and think I found a way to spend more money! Considering building a HTPC. Probably get a multimedia LCD projector for video. My question is whether it would be okay to use some pretty good computer speakers for audio, or whether I should use the more traditional home theater amplifer and feed it from my sound card? I am concerned that the sound coding from PC games (which I suppose work great with the computer speakers) and DVD movies may not be suitably matched. Thanks

I am probably biased but I would always go with non-pc speakers, as you just have more options available to you, plus I've never heard pc speakers that can really compare in audio quality when you want it to shake the house!!

Have you seen the new 7.1 gigaworks speakers by creative. Those are 700 watts TXH certified. Im sure those can bring down the house pretty hard!
