bmp files?

Whenever I try to open a picture file I get an error

C:\Documents.bmp was not found.

And it says Paint on that taskbar on top of that.

Help?

I have windows xp, I'm trying to open in windows picture viewer.

try right clicking on the file you want to open, goto "open with" and select MS paint or another valid picture program. at the bottom check the box that says "always use this program to open this file type"
