the best i know so far is adobe premiere. my friend uses that to edit the videos we film, and he can do major editing with special effects on his films. its a bit pricy, but thats when kazaa or torrent files come in =]
if you just wanna buy programs from the store, i believe theres some pinnacle softwares availabe you can check out.
