best auto converter for windows extender

I like to watch a lot of video podcasts that I download through rss. At the moment, I watch them on my laptop but would like to start watching them through my windows media center extender. what application do you recommend that automatically converts the files into a compatible file for the extender?

thanks. all look like programs i could use except i cannot see anywhere if any of them have the option to watch a folder and then automatically convert the video. from what i can see, i have to tell it when to convert. i'm looking for an automated process. does anything like that exist?

Not that i know of. Most of the programs i know of for conversion you will have to manually get the conversion process going yourself. It wont automate itself to convert new additions to any folder.
