I was replying to his last post....Ive just tried the divx alpha player with my file and the sound and video stays in sync with each other when in wmp9 it does not Works Fine(With divx player)

But, when i skip a bit of it the player crashes. Assuming he means WMP9

Does that mean that the fiel is not corrupt or a bad rip but wmp9 has a fault?? Good bet it's WMP9 Codec problem.

Better??? ROFLMAO..... :)

Umm, maybe its me, but why would he change the player he is talking about mid-sentence?

OK, i uninmstalled the nimo codec and the movies in wmp9 are now the right way round so that me=ust mean its he codec. any ideas?

hmm. Ive had this problem a few times. Sometimes having too many codecs can cause probelms, try installing the Nimo lite package ONLY and see if it plays.

ok. first off, yes, i have instaled the divx 5 codecs as came with the pro version. Second, no it is not porn lol, it is a cartoon film kind of thing and it is a bout 128mg big. it starts about 17 minutes in in wmp9 and in the alpha player when i skip it past 17 mins it messes up but it plays fine in the alpha player unlesss i try skipping it. It is an avi file and the reason i want tot skip it is because its just short of two hours and im an hour into it so its a bit of a nuisance having to watch an hour of it again and if it crashes i will have to watch it again.

ok. Ive uninstalled all the codecs and clean installed the nimo ones. But, i stil have the reversed upside down problem. and, my movies play slightly faster. Should i insall the old ones, ie the divx 5 and xvid ones?

so i should maybe try and convert it into a divx format and see if that helps??if so, what quality settings etc as i have never done a divx conversion.
