avi format video's???

hi
i don't know if this is in the right place on the forum, but i have a problem with real player and media player. when i downloaded a movie from the internet, the video format was avi and when it was completed i tried to play it but it won't play. would anybody know what to do so i could play it in media or real player??

it only plays sound

your lacking the proper video codec, chances are it may be xvid, if so get the xvid codec
