Up until a couple of weeks ago I could play .avi files in Media Player (with the Xvid codec installed), but since my brother uninstalled Fantasy DVD Player they won't work anymore (except in VLC). When he first installed Fantasy DVD player, it made itself the Universal Media Player and even after its uninstallation some files (e.g. .bmp and other pictures) still appear as Fantasy DVD Player Files despite the fact that I selected "Always use this software...." and instructed windows to use the Picture and fax viewer. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Sarcaustic

try downloading DviX and using that, or just reformat and tell your brother to screw up someone elses computer.

yeah... divx is awesome

But for some reason it always screws up during the installation and doesnt complete installing the online web player :(

Which internaly causes my internet media to not have sound, until i reformat my drive *cry*
