Hi there,

An interesting problem - I think its possible but just after confirmation.

I have a multi-band scanner. I am using this for some radio astronomy work I am doing - mainly meteor scanning.

The scanner has a normal head phone jack in which I can plug some headphones to hear the pulses.

I want to log this sound.

Is all I need a male to male cable, one end plugs into the scanner headphone port, the other into the line-in on my sound card (Audigy 2). Then some sound logging software (perhaps better than sound recorder).

Is the above ok?

Thanks for any help.

yes. that should be sufficient. however, don't expect top quality which you will need if you're planning on deeply analyzing those sounds. other than that, you should be ok. just don't use the word logging when it comes to sound hehehehe it's incorrect.

btw, i'd like to hear some of those sounds if you get them recorded!!!
