How do I transfer my cassette tape recordings to CD?
Most of them are lecture audio.
What's the best CD-R for my; I have a 1.1Ghz. 40GB ultra DMA hard drive & 382MB memory---Celeron Windows XP.

Thanx.

Ok I found the post you wanted help with. I thought that you wanted help with page file (that was somebody else)

I use that 1/8 inch stereo to rca plug. radio shack has them for around $5.00 I plug it into my line in on my computer.

I open Musicmatch. I click the rip to cd option to open MM's recorder (if you have version 7.5 or earlier, there an easier route ). I right click on the left hand side the recorder and click settings. while you are here you can set the record method and bitrate. I use mp3 and 320 kb

I click the drop down menu and set the recoring source to line in. Click ok. Now you can edit the album artist and name of track. click record when you are ready.

I learn this years ago from a guy who would set musicmatch to come on at certain time to record his favorite show from a radio station that was hook up to the line in. you can do that too.
