I have a two year old Dell XPS desktop that I run all my music from through BOSE Companion 3 system. I like the sound of the system and want to add a Companion 5 set to pump music to another room. I thought I would just need a 3.5mm splitter hooked up to the sound card to run both the Companion 3 and 5. Would this work?
I also was going to upgrade my onboard sound to a Creative Lab Titanium HD card. The card appears to be designed mostly for gaming though, and I primarily will need it to run digital music. Is there another comparable card that I should consider? I want to stay below $200 for the card. Thanks for opinions and recommendations.
