AC97 and surround sound help>

hey, ive just put together my surround sound speaker system, but i cannot figure out how to change the 'line in' & 'microphone' in the bak of my sound card to 'rearout' & centrewoofer'>

At the moment im only gettin sound through the front 2 speakers.

Im not very good with computers, i wud appreciate any help.

Come on guys, ive set it to 7.1 on the properties page i just need to know how to do this.

check the advance option on volume properties, then go into one

Look for the "SoundMan" program which is your Audio configuration
tool for the AC97 chipset.

Find the tab for "Speaker Configuration"

"Rear Out" should be the " Light Blue" port

"Center Speaker/Sub Woofer" should be the "Pink" port

Make sure your system is wired correctly on the back of your PC
case at your soundcard and then assign the correct speaker
assignment using the "speaker configuration" tool.

Then use the "Speaker Test" tab to confirm setup.
