lol its a race who can advertise more speakers in a car
and hopefully it will pass soon.
audi just said fk all-yaalll we gonna fill our car with speakers so no matter how many you put we still have more...
thats pretty much the point of it.
because in recent years the car audio OEM systems have been playing that speaker game and of course they dont forget to mention it in the ads "10-18 speaker BOSE system with gazillion total jigawatt mega-peak power..." and unsuspecting customers then say woooooooooow that must sound gooood lets upgrade from plain 4+1 system to this nice 5000-15000 dollar system.
not that many people actually see what goes behind the pannel in those bose systems...( i work at car audio shop)
my dad's rockford fosgate system with 4 speakers and a sub has less bass than my 2 front(and only) speakers in my car, he even admitted to it after some time because he paid about 5Gs for that **** system.
