5.1 speakers wont work.

i just bought a sound blaster live 24bit sound card and when i plug my 5.1 speakers into them only the front two work.

im running windows XP, 1GB ram.

can anyone help me out please.

right click on the blue volume control thing in your taskbar, and go to speaker settings. in the drop down menu under Speaker/Headphone Selection click 5.1 Speakers and make sure Synchronize with control panel is checked.

i dnt have a blue volume control thing ?

if u can post a screen shot or something.

on my control panel i have them set to 5.1 surround sound but they still dont seem to work...

have you installed drivers for your soundcard? if so, you should have access to the blue thing.

if it in not in the system tray, look in creative on the all programs menu. you want speaker setup, or surround mixer and then link to speaker setup.
