40x - 52x burning?

How do I burn CD's at 52x?

I got my 52xx Sony burner , 52x Philips CD-Rs, and Nero Ultra 6.6.0.3 - Yet I can only burn at 40x.

Ideas? I can't think of a damn thing. *shakes head*

I can think of two suggestions

1) Update your firmware
2) use another burning program [Nero might be incompatible with the Optical medium ]

Something about hold the eject button for a few seconds? Eek, I'll have to try that. If not, then the Lite-On solution... Very Strange.

OK, I held the eject button for 5-10 seconds (about as long as you'd hold the power down on a case to force shutdown).

Wow, Nero now offers 52x speed. That is totally nuts.

Tell everyone you know with a Sony drive, they may have to do this to access the full potential of their drive.

Could be the disk's your using,maybe try some other brand of disk.
