Hello all,

Please help me. I do not have a DVD burner, but I have a folder with 3 gigs of DVD movie files. I would like to transfer it to one CD. Is it possible? If so how?

If not what other (cheap) ways can I share these files with my classmates?

Thanks....Struggling Student

The reason we have DVD-burners is so we can do what you want. If you don't have a DVD-burner, you're stuck with the capacity of a CD-RW (at most 800MB).

Take 5 CDs and burn the data to them. Or get a DVD-burner and burn the data.

Not to mention that we don't condone the act of pirating movies.

You can use your burner to create a video cd. Low capacity and usually poor quality, though. I doubt one VCD can hold more than about 40 minutes of video.

best way would be to rip the movies into mpeg4 or divx format, you can get about 1hr50mins on a cdr that way

if you use VCD format, that allows about 780MB on a cdr which gives you about 50mins to an hour of movie time and its alot less quality than mpeg4
