1 hour downloaded video won't pay all the way

Hi, I downloaded 1 hour video but it won't play all the way. I use VLC to play it because it doesn't work on media player. Any one know how to fix it? It will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Windows Media player does not have the codecs to play all video files like VLC does.
What's the file extension of your video?

THanks for the reply, I honestly don't know what the file extension of my video. I downloaded it from dropbox, somebody shared it to me.

Try re-downloading it. It's possible the download corrupted partially - especially if you're using Chrome and it was a large download. I've had Chrome corrupt large files several times. Try FireFox or IE to download it instead.

I had some videos that were quite large in size that windows media player had a tough time handling too.. VLC did fine without it but I got the k-lite codec pack and it fixed my windows media player problem

Be weary about where you get codecs from though, they're notorious for harboring stowaway malware.
