Have any of you guys tried Rift yet? Its still in beta and will be released March 1st. I remember seeing it at PAX last September and just remembered it. Thought I would sign up for the beta.

The only downside is, like WoW, that is pay to play. But looks fun enough. Thoughts or opinions?

I saw it on steam, looked good from what i can see on the steam page but i've not done any further research into it.

Open beta starts on the 15th which is this Tuesday, I am playing on the Gnarlwood server PvE.

They keep advertising this game like it's going to be a wow killer. I will believe that when I see Blizzard having to shut down servers.

I don't think it will "kill" WoW, but it may make a dent or 2 if Trion can hold their word. I'm now sold on rift and I'm getting it for my bday.
