Age of Conan Hyborian Adventure is an MMORPG that charges a monthly fee to play. However they have decided to extend the original trial of the game to allow you to play the first 20 levels (the island of Tortage) completely for free - no subscription fee, no credit card details, no cancel within 14 days - it's free.

Only requirements are that you register an account, download the trial, and play the game before 1st Jan 2010. As long as you have done that, then the Island of Tortage will remain free to play for as long as you have your account.

If you want to upgrade to a full version of the game they will let you do that, and no doubt offer incentives to do so, but for now this is an opportunity to try out a decent sized chunk of the game for free.

I can understand why they put those limitations in.

Well this will be the first time I've ever played a MMORPG, so I had no idea about how it would affect me

I would like to try this, but I don't want to get a taste and think I like and stop playing lotro only to decide I want to go back to it. The only thing pulling me in with this one is the fact that it has the best mmorpg graphics. I love lotr too much. This is good for most everyone else I suppose.

Better then AION? Thats based on the cry engine.

But anyways, yea I am going to check this game out. But I will never pay a cent for it.
