Default Will this cpu cooler fit?

I want to get a Noctua NH-U12P (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?...ducts_id=12931) but looking at my set up I'm not sure if it will fit...

The motherboard is an asus crosshair iii formula and the way it is set out, the ram slots are pretty close to the cpu and the ram I'm using is higher than normal because of the heatsinks it came with (CMD4GX3M2A1600C8).

Check out the pics and tell me if you think I'll be able to squeeze it in if I ended up filling all the ram slots...

Also, will I be able to set up the cpu cooler in any orientation? I would prefer the air to be blown toward the back of the case like in this pic Noctua nh-u12p image by not_so_hard on Photobucket

I think you'll be alright and if that guy can mount it that way I see no reason why you shouldn't.

That's often the way with these things.

Is it alright to use the thermal paste it comes with or better off getting something else?..

I might not be the person to answer this really but I would say the stuff that comes with it is going to be fine.

The paste that comes with it should be fine. If you just want to have some paste on hand for future maintenance/cleaning then I would recommend some Tuniq TX-2.
