i prefer not to have any chemicals in my loop, so you can use a silver kill coil also, it does the same thing as PT nuke.

but to be honest, i dont have any anti growth things in my loop right now, ive ran it for probably 3 months with just naked distilled water... not having any problems at all. so its not something you need right away.
