Fan filters of no fan filters?

I currently don't have any dust filters on my intake fans... and have a very dusty room.


is that like horrible?

or not at all as long as i clean out my system a little more often?

i took the metal filter off my side intake fan because i like the way it looks w/out it.

so are filters more a personal preference? or is it pretty smart to have them?

Just been wondering ever since i took off the side filter.

How long have you had the filters off?
If it's been 2 weeks or more, take the side of the case off and take a look inside the PC. You should notice the cpu fans and any exhaust fans will have built up a layer of dust. This will impede airflow.

So to answer your question, no it's not bad so long as you regularly clean out your pc.

I don't have any on my HAF, I've cleaned the thing out twice in the last year and there hasn't really been much dust to speak of.

nah seriously..I don't think they do much...but I would clean it just a bit more often to make up for that "much" they do, do
