Here is my current case

3638d1253257295-project-kill-kitty-killkitty-airflow.jpg

Currently i have 6 CoolerMaster Silent Red LED Fan 120mm fans

Front - Intake
Base - Intake
Right Side Panel - Intake
Rear - Output
Top (2x) - Output

The front, rear and side panel are power via the motherboard.
The Base and top are were connected directly into the power.
When I turn on the PC, it's extremely noisy.
So I have disconnected the base and top. It's reduced the noise, but I am still not liking it.
Removed the stock stock Fan Mess from the Right Side Panel, again a little less noise.

I would still like to reduce the noise further

Currenlty I am looking at the following products to reduce noise
Nexus Case Fan Vibration Absorbers
Rubber Anti-Vibration Screw 4-Pack for Closed Chassis Fans
Rubber Anti-Vibration Screw 4-Pack for Open Chassis Fans
Siliceous Sheet for 120mm Fan
Siliceous Washers (12 pack)

Any one have any experience with using these type of products? Do they work?

The other thing that I am looking for is a fan controller that has the option where I can turn the fan completely off. Do they event exist?

Any one

Currently I got one a Lamptron FAN-ATIC 5-Port Military Switch Baybus waiting for me at my sisters place

Unfortunately lower noise usually means lower rpm and therefore lower air flow.

I understand that. However I only need the higher air flow for when i am gaming.

Some fan grommets maybe? Here is a link to some of them on the mnpctech website

Cooling Fan Silencing Grommets

Might have a look down at my local hardware shop if i can find some thing like this. Failing that, i have been meaning to place an order with MNP Tech for some other things.

My gear came in the post today.
Just spend about 2 hours putting it all together.

BIg difference.

The power supply is quieter, however i am still getting the air flow noise. Don't think I can do much to change that.

However with fan controller and the can fans, it's done a world of difference.
Especially now can I choose whether i want my fan OFF, LOW or FULL speed. And the number of fans that i have on.

Next on my list of this of things to sort out is the vga fan. RIght now, that's making the most noise.
