I am finally getting around to throwing more ram in my netbook.

Its a 1005HAB. I was just browsing newegg for some ram as I am making a larger purchase and want it on that order. It has come down to three options around $30.

The first two are G Skill, and the last is PNY.

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200) Laptop Memory Model F2-4200CL4S-2GBSK

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory Model F2-5300CL5S-2GBSK

Newegg.com - PNY Optima 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Laptop Memory Model MN2048SD2-800

Your opinions?

I would just get the cheapest one. I believe I have a 2GB A-data one in my 1005HA. Never had any problem with it. You don't need high performance ones for a netbook. You're not going to be gaming.

I am going to be playing minecraft :D. That game takes like 1gb of ram. I also code on it a lot and compile times can be really slow.

Are you replacing the ram in your netbook or are you just adding more ram?

If your replacing the ram then I would go with the fastest ram your netbook is capable of utilizing.

If your just adding more ram to be used with the existing ram, then you should get the same speed as the existing ram. The system will default to the slowest speed installed for compatibility.

I ended up getting some DDR2 800 with timings of 5-5-5-15 for $30.

My netbook only has one slot for ram and its max is 2gb.
