I have an Hp mini 110 that I love. A few months ago when I went to power it on it stuck at the HP logo screen and would not budge, it would not let me into the bios and could not get into safe mode. The laptop repair person told me I needed a new motherboard... Ordered one, got it installed it, but now I am stuck on the compact log on screen and above that it says missing serial number. It took several attempts tyo get to the bios and did nothing, then more than 30 minutes later it popped up, and nope no serial number is listed. How do I fix this problem? Is it also possible that my original motherboard is not dead but has a different fix?

I would RMA that thing. Have HP sort it out. Those guys are smarter than any foreign idiot on the phone.

Yea, I would get away from HP. I had an ASUS Eee once. I sold it awhile ago.
